About Us

I'm Angel Sanchez. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Nov. 4, 1967. I studied in Chicago public schools for 10 years, and in 1982 my family moved to Mexico. I have since worked as an English teacher, translator, merchant, Christian minister, and as of 2015 as a real-estate agent. My entire career's experience has served to build and season my unique brand as a real-estate agent: honesty, friendship, professionalism, and bicultural knowledge of the Mexican landscape. My local connections are dynamic, synergetic and based on honesty, transparency and a win-win mentality. My goal is to make your Mexican dream come true. No hype here, friend. All heart. SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU, OUR GUEST ON OUR WEBSITE: Happy World Homes is an independent real-estate advisory project based in Guadalajara, Mexico. In our area - more specifically, in our state of Jalisco - real-estate practice is not regulated by a national licensing body or brokerage-based stricture, but we adhere voluntarily to high ethical standards, transparency, and client-first service, as we have in all work-related endeavors since 1983. The prestigious corporate names below, and our decades-long good standing with them, serve as reference to who we are, what we stand for, what you get under our brand and service.

I've served the partners, managers and staff of the world's largest professional-services network (Guadalajara branch) for 24 years as an English teacher. Their continual efforts to reach the highest levels of excellence and integrity have mirrored my own, and we have enjoyed a respectful, fruitful and mutually-beneficial relationship I am proud of. References available upon request.

I've served the doctors and surgeons of Guadalajara's most prestigious hospital for 24 years as an English teacher. My warm ties to these medical specialists have become virtual family ties over the many years. References available upon request.

Go There: Come to Mexico

Let us guide you in your project of becoming an expat in Mexico. I'm an American expat myself, have lived here for 43 years, and know Mexico. I and one million other Americans making Mexico our home - in addition to another two hundred thousand expats from other countries - have discovered a country totally removed from the old negative stereotypes and, quite frankly, the Chicken-Little narratives. Is Mexico perfect? No country is. If you seek peace and quiet, charm and excitement, convenience and economy, the stats speak for themselves. Mexico is unique, and we expats who live here warmly encourage you to discover it all for yourself. As for me, I'm your friend and will be more than happy to help guide you on the real-estate front as well as the expat-prospect exploration front. Viva Mexico! As an expat myself, I have partaken of many magical moments at Ajijic on the karaoke scene. Neil Diamond's classic is a favorite of mine to share lakeside, for more reasons than one. And, well, my advice to you, future expat, is: TURN ON YOUR HEARTLIGHT! Rejoice because in choosing to become an expat at Ajijic, you will be joining a community with roots extending as far back as the 1940s (the Lake Chapala Society located in the heart of Ajijic was founded in 1955). There is a vibrant, contented community awaiting you, with up to 20,000 expats spending the winter months along the whole Lake Chapala region (estimates are that anywhere from 1,000 to 7,000 foreigners - mostly Americans and Canadians - make their home in the area year-round). Prepare to discover a community offering something for everybody, and to experience overall the best weather in the world. Mexicans are warm and hospitable, of course, and the everyday surroundings burst with color! So you can leave the stress behind for good and smile from deep within, for you have earned your golden years, and will soon understand why Ajijic is the place that can make cherished dreams come true! For a further taste of the lakeside, I recommend you check out El Ojo del Lago, Lake Chapala's biggest English-language monthly periodical, on their website.
